Summer Camps & Clinics

In 2012 we look forward to an exciting summer at Three Springs Farm ! We will be offering three camps to cater to all riders [ Beginner/Intermediate, Advanced and Show Team ] as well as weekend camp specialized for adults !

- Beginner / Intermediate

In this camp session, we welcome riders of any level ages 6 and up. Suitable for riders starting over fences. Some riding experience is recommended, but not required. We will have knowledgeable staff to work with riders on horsemanship, structured riding, arts and crafts and more barn fun. Campers are encouraged to learn all about horses, life around the farm and riding. We offer hands on activities and plenty of saddle time. Riders are assisted as needed for their riding capabilities.

- Advanced Week

Riders participating in Advanced Week should be capable of walking, trotting and cantering safely in a group as well as navigating 2' courses; Suitable for riders through 3'6". Advance week will ask riders to test their knowledge of horses, horsemanship and the equestrian sport. We will study and practice Stadium Jumping, Hunt Seat Equitation, Elements of Dressage and Cross Country. Campers will be required to care for their horse's needs (feeding, waters, mucking out, washing and daily care) as well as learn in a clinic-like format conducive to advanced instruction and learning. Guest instructors and demonstrations to be announced.

- Show Team Camp

Brand new for 2012, we are excited to offer a Show Team Camp. This camp is specifically designed for riders wishing to compete. We will spend the week covering advanced prepping and turnout techniques, discuss keeping a horse in top condition and brushing up our show ring skills. We will attend three Horse Shows (VHSA and BHSA sanctioned) during the week long camp, where each camper will be coached and guided in actual competition. This is a great way to hone in your show skills and make a play at final awards, qualifying and having a great time doing it ! All coaching, showing and transport fees are included in the camp fee!

For this camp, riders will be required to have their own show attire and equipment. For riders not in the TSF program, the application will require a video or try-out ride. VHSA and BHSA memberships are strongly encourage.

For all camps (unless otherwise noted), a snack, homemade lunch and drinks will be provided.

Space is very limited and will be granted on a first come, first serve basis. Half the camp fee must be made as a deposit to hold a campers spot.
